Bulletin

Alpha region NOAA AR 2703 has produced a few low B flares in the past 24 hours. The chance for a C flare in the next 24 hours is estimated at 35%, mainly from AR 2703.

No Earth-directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were observed in available coronagraphic imagery.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours, and is expected to stay at nominal levels in the next 24 hours.

Solar wind near Earth showed continued weak signs of influence from a positive polarity, northern polar Coronal Hole (CH) wind stream. Solar wind speed as registered by DSCOVR varied between about 400 and 485 km/s, with current values around 460 km/s. The Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) was directed away from the Sun and its magnitude varied between about 0 and 7 nT. There were no prolonged intervals with Bz below -5 nT.

Quiet geomagnetic conditions (K Dourbes between 0 and 2; NOAA Kp between 1 and 2) were registered in the past 24 hours. Quiet to unsettled geomagnetic levels (K Dourbes < 4) are expected on April 1, 2 and 3.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 011, based on 08 stations.
